Coe Baxter, PGH Associate, Settles Car Wreck Case For Policy Limits

Prince Glover Hayes associate, Coe Baxter, disbursed settlement funds to his client on August 12, 2022 upon a successful negotiation of her claim for damages which resulted from an automobile collision caused by an adverse driver. The accident occurred while Coe’s client was at a full stop on an exit ramp off I-59 in Greene County, Alabama. Coe’s client suffered injury to her rotator cuff and rupture of tendons in her left shoulder. This injury necessitated a left shoulder arthroscopic rotator cuff repair. Coe’s client also suffered cervical paraspinal pain for which cervical blocks were administered. She also underwent physical therapy for her pain. When Coe investigated the adverse driver’s driving record, he found that said driver had a history of traffic violations including 2 prior wrecks, an improper tag, and 2 speeding tickets (one going 82 mph in a 65 mph zone and another going 92 in a 70 mph zone). Coe demanded, and received, the policy limits on the adverse driver’s insurance. This amount, however, did not adequately compensate Coe’s client for the injuries and expenses which resulted from the collision. He therefore made an additional claim on his client’s uninsured/underinsured motorist provisions contained in her policy. Her insured, likewise, paid the policy limits on that policy. Coe’s legal assistant, shown in the photo with him, also worked very hard on this case. This case was referred to Coe by a law firm with offices in Tempe, Arizona, close to where Coe’s client lived.
