OUR RESULTS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES

$43,800,000

A Hale County jury ordered Plantation Pipeline to pay our client, his son and a family trust $43,800,000.00 including $37,000,000.00 in punitive damages.  Our clients sued Plantation Pipeline and Chevron after our client dug an irrigation well on his small farm and struck gasoline.  At trial, it was proven that Plantation Pipeline was responsible for 750,000 to 1,000,000 gallons of gasoline that leaked from their pipeline and migrated onto the plaintiffs’ property.

$15,500,000

Prince Glover Hayes obtained a $15,500,000.00 verdict in federal court for a client who was involved in an automobile accident with a double tractor-trailer owned by Roadway Express Trucking Company, one of the largest trucking companies in the United States.  The company gave the keys to one of its drivers who had nine previous traffic accidents and several motorist complaints while working for Roadway Express.  The driver of the Roadway Express truck crossed over the median and drove into the oncoming line of traffic and struck our client’s vehicle head on, causing her severe injuries.  Despite the on-scene effort of Roadway’s “risk control” team, the evidence clearly indicated Roadway’s fault and the jury’s verdict sends a loud message to trucking companies across the United States.  This staggering verdict surpassed the largest personal injury jury verdict ever in Tuscaloosa County, which was previously set by Robert Prince.

$3,500,000

his case set the record in June 1999 for the largest jury verdict, at that time, ever awarded in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama.  Led by Robert Prince, the trial resulted in a $3,500,000.00 verdict for the estate of an 18 year old victim involved in a tragic auto accident.  On November 29, 1996, the day after Thanksgiving, a Gillan Trucking Co. driver, who later tested positive for drugs, began a trip from Mississippi to Alabama.  The driver, in his early 20s at the time, recklessly rounded a sharp curve along the highway, and seconds later drove over the top of a car, taking the life of the driver.
