Matt Glover, PGH partner, recently settled a car accident case for $240,000.00. The lawsuit was filed in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. The plaintiff, Matt’s client, named in the lawsuit the driver of the vehicle that collided with her vehicle, the owner of the vehicle being driven by the adverse driver and the plaintiff’s insurer under her uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage. The accident made the basis of the lawsuit occurred on McFarland Boulevard in Tuscaloosa. Matt’s client was stopped in traffic and the adverse driver rear ended her. After Matt filed suit, he also initiated discovery and took several depositions. A mediation was attended by the parties and their attorneys in an attempt to resolve the lawsuit without a trial. Thereafter, Matt negotiated with opposing counsel and ultimately reached a settlement. The adverse driver’s insurer contributed $100,000, the owner of the vehicle driven by the adverse contributed $100,000 and Matt’s client’s insurer contributed $40,000 in uninsured/underinsured motorist benefits.
This lawsuit was referred to Matt by Gil Gilmore, an attorney in Grove Hill, Alabama. Matt and Gil have been associated on many cases together and share the common goal of passionately representing injured clients.
